Boku no Hero Academia S2

9/10

I am back from my super elongated break to which I apologize to the readers I do have about it. I had some things that happened and to be honest I kinda forgot about this but, now that I am back I'll make sure to at least update weekly if not two times a week.

Without further delay let's jump right into it! I did the S1 of this anime around the time I first started so, it is only fitting that when I restart that I should do the S2 version. Now, I could list everything that they did right and I would be here for two hours so I will pick up some of the things I thought were the best overall.

The story-telling plain and simple it doesn't get much better than that my friends. Honestly, if this keeps up I'm pretty sure we'll get to see Boruto surrender under the pressure and finally end(or at least I hope...please stop killing my childhood). We learned all kinds of new things this season one for all's origin, how much of a badass stain is, and a lot more about how the world really works. Now, One For All is a badass superpower but, I just wish that Izuku could get ahold of it a little faster I'm all for the training but, I feel super bad that he has made such little progress relative to All Might's worsening condition however, he did make much more progress this season than he did last. Stain is a big thing this season too though, some people would say his role was minor he plays a big piece in a large machine of villainy soon to happen in S3. He really changed the essence and urgency of our soon to be hero or at least I would hope he did. Stain is even a better villain because he is more relatable to people rather than someone like Joker from DC comics this in turn makes his end message far more powerful to even people who may originally not have ill-intentions and even though his cause was sort of noble its going to cause way more chaos than he probably bargained for.

During the tournament and even some of the internship we got to see a lot more of the world itself at work I thought the bit at the end of the internship arc was pretty well designed as it showed that being a hero sometimes isn't fair which leads more into Stain being a good villain and fighting for a cause rather than just random shenanigans for the fun. Seeing a little of how the world works before running into him helps a lot too because it further solidifies his message when it is presented which is just great story writing in general.

My only real complaint at this point which is more or less just how I feel about it is that the creator needs to love Izuku some more. I know that he has actually stated before that Bakugou is his favorite character in the entire cast of characters but, Izuku seriously just needs help even when he does get considerably better the writer trolls him for some laughs just a short while after he improved. If Izuku is supposed to get number one in this story he really needs to do a lot better because right now even the other characters still don't really understand if Izuku is a failure or actually really good. That actually gets stated at one point but, other than that I am completely satisfied with S2. I would make sure you watch S1 before watching S2 otherwise you will be really confused in what the hell is going on for the first few episodes.
