Gcatz Anime Reviews!

8/10 I can't believe I haven't done a review on this anime but since the new season is coming out soon with Bell-kun it seems like and appropriate time to do this review. For those of you who don't know Dan Machi or (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon) is a video game esk world where Bell the main hero is training to aspire to become a hero of the dungeon that he lives next too. Apparently there are a lot of them but this is the one we're interested in. Bell is a young man who was like many main characters has a past with a long lost parent that inspires him to act in the current era. After that child hood he came across the goddess Hestia whom is his current familia though, in the anime it has not disclosed how he got to this point with Hestia it does at least show that he is happy in his current situation with a massive crush on the 'Sword Princess' of the village. I think there are a lot of things going for Dan Machi and honestly the only...

9/10 Going to get another good one this week as we dive into Re:Life a story about shut-ins getting another chance at life instead of just falling off the map this particular case follows Arata Kaizaki. The general idea of this anime/webcomic is for a shut in to get a Relife to learn about who they once were to make them not a shut in anymore. With that we'll jump right into it. Now despite the incredible amount of age-play this thing does it is a good story over all as you can assume by the way the title looks this anime has to do with a special drug that reverses one's 'look' back to that of a teenager for the sake of them re-attending high-school in japan to try and rehabilitate them back into the world. Without any of the classmates or even the teachers knowing anything about it. Now, obviously there are a lot of problems with doing something like that and the fact that the writer decided to point those things out rather than ignore them really stood out to me as...

9/10  Now, it is rare I love something so much that I have to watch it twice this week it's Magical Bastard Instructor and I'll be giving you all of my thoughts on why this anime deserves a season two. The story in this anime is about a lazy magician known as Glenn Radars as he tries every way possible to get out of his new job to live a carefree life. For those of you who haven't looked into this anime at all I would completely recommend it for a lot of reasons but, I'll try to keep it somewhat manageable. First off, Glenn is a special character he reacts to many cliche happenings in anime completely different than pretty much ever other protagonist the only other character that I can even think of that acted this way is Kanata from  Sky Wizards  that the main character was practically failed by his writers. Glenn However, was not failed by his writers and is a really interesting character because, he does not react in a typical way and he kind of does his...

7.5/10 Hey guys, I'm back with yet another anime review. Something a little different this time as we're going to review one that isn't actually complete yet. I thought that people were really ragging this anime down with no chance and because of this I have decided to do a review even though, it is not finished. Let's jump into this one right away this one may be longer than others as I try to argue a better opinion to this anime than it's previous reviewers. Death March is about a game programmer named Satou(or Sazuki Ichirou) that is suddenly transported into another world with some gimmicks from the game he was creating tagging a long for the ride. Many people and I do mean many people have consecutively shat upon this anime without really ever giving it a chance. While their concerns are certainty noteworthy and a lot of their arguments valid here is what they aren't really telling you. One of the many things that has happened in the past year or...

6/10 Trapped In Another World With My Smart Phone is about you guessed it a guy named Touya who is in a magic world with his smart phone. Going beyond how ridiculous the whole idea of this is we're going to dive into the depths of it in this review so grab your phones I guess? Normally, I don't really watch poor anime to the end but, somehow I ended up watching this fairly average anime completely to the end. Now, I know a lot of people ripped on this anime really hard and for the most part I do agree with them however, every anime has something to learn from it including the bad ones. First off, this anime has very little ambition though, I think you probably should have realized that when the character died and was super nonchalant about it. Ignoring that whole issue is the fact that they had no real goal for this anime I couldn't tell if it was for fan service or if they were trying to be serious. It lacked any kind of direction other than lets move on to the nex...

9/10     10/10 (Mystery) This anime revolves around Satrou a struggling manga artist that ends up learning a lot about his own disturbing past. With a lot of mysteries to solve about his own past will he be able to stop the murders of the past with his special power? This anime in general is great though, the only super power in the whole thing is the going back in time bit it is a good story for anyone to watch even if mystery isn't necessarily your thing. Satoru has the power to randomly travel back in time to a random point and live on with his current knowledge in life. It could be a minor change or a major one that being said his actions do effect the present day so, he cannot be super careless with it. The whole anime is basically about a murder that happens in his past when he was a child. Obviously not knowing what he knows today about it there is always that wish you could go back and maybe do something. Fortunately for Satoru he has such power that he can ...

8/10 Imagine being in a world where giant robots can only be controlled by women unless of course you are Orimura Ichika who is the only man in the world who can pilot the Infinite Stratos machines. Ending fan-service Friday on Infinite Stratos. Now, I am all for a weird story with weird twist and whatever but, Infinite Stratos is one of the weirder ones. Sticking poor Ichika in a womens' only school for pilots isn't as great for him as you might think it sounds. Especially if you're the brother of basically the greatest pilot ever and you suck ass at it. I think my only real peeve with this show is the fact that spoilers~! Ichika pretty much blows ass through both seasons. So no to answer your question before twenty four episodes he never gets any better even though he somehow is still the main force. Not to say he doesn't have some cool throw-downs he is just one of the weakest male mains in a show I've ever seen. That being said the anime isn't all that ...

7/10 This anime is about Kusanagi Godoas a man who has slain the god of victory and acquired his powers. He has become a Campione and must fight other Campione to hope that he may survive this ordeal! Guess I'll start doing Fan-service Friday since this anime is fairly fan-service heavy aswell. Campione has one of the coolest theroies in an anime I've ever seen for it to be a ecchi anime. The idea is that when you kill a god you obtain their powers basically becoming that god; you can also kill other gods and obtain their powers aswell but, be careful you also inherit their weaknesses! This anime has an awful lot of fan-service as do many of the anime's that will be on Fridays' list. Campione has a weird way of mixing together combat and ecchi it's a bit of an awkward mix to be honest but this anime was underrated because of it. Many reviewers gave it a horrible review and it is normally fairly hard to find all of the episodes in one place when Campio...

7.4/10 This anime revolves around Raul Chaser a man whom wanted to become a hero to defeat the demon king but, the demon king was defeated by another hero so, an adventure has to make money somehow and that's how he ends up in a appliance store. I actually liked this anime as it is home to another one of those lovable demon girls that seem to pop up everywhere. This anime is surprisingly fresh as it went with an idea that I've never really seen before, which makes it easy to remember. Not to mention that its' characters are all fairly memorable and likable especially Fino which is the demon kings daughter that ends up working at the same place as Raul. Fino is the very reason I really liked this anime and remember it to this day; as you can see that this little demon isn't exactly a bad girl even when she tries to act like she is. Throughout, this anime Fino constantly relies on Raul for even the simplest of things including paying bills and living life in g...

5/10 This anime follows humanity after a widespread disaster leaves us a top floating cities. Unfortunately I can't always give a good review but, whether you take my word on this one is up to you. This anime follows Kanata Age a notorious 'traitor' whom is ridiculed and rejected from society for basically the dumbest reason ever. He becomes the instructor to the worst class of fighters ever. To be completely honest Kanata is a really good main character and his writers simply failed him. He is surrounded by so many poor elements it literally breaks the anime. Be it from the side characters, the story, his situation, you name it it's probably wrong. The whole thing feels really clunky and if it wasn't for the fact that Kanata was in the anime it would literally have zero redeeming features. Kanata is actually good enough to keep me from pegging this any lower so if you ever want an example of a great character hindered by his story this is your anime. Of...

9/10 Elfen Lied hits pretty much every button it can. With story, brutality, romance, and a sophisticated world. I wouldn't tell anyone who didn't have a strong stomach to watch this but, if you can take it you NEED to watch Elfen Lied. With brutality in mind, this is one of the most brutal anime's you will ever watch along side Hellsing Ultimate. If you have a weak stomach then you probably shouldn't watch this but, if you can survive the occasional dismemberment then Elfen Lied should be able to keep you grounded. This story revolves around Lucy a special kind of demi-human that has powers that make her unbelievably powerful though, she is not unkillable.  She is imprisoned at the beginning of the show only to bust out of her confinement to meet up with a young man named Kouta. When she meets him her memories are pretty wiped and she does not even remember how to speak correctly so, everything has to be retaught and she acts more like a really big dog than a huma...

Hey guys! I'm Damon Cooper and I'll be slinging the reviews. I've watched anime for about ten years now and decided to go on the review board because, well why the hell not? I'm for anyone who is avid or a closet anime lover so even if our opinions differ we all love anime in general. Depending on how this goes I may add different things onto this but, we'll stay at reviews for now. So, without further a due here's what this blog is all about. This is my blog of anime reviews of anime's that I have either already watched or are in the process of watching. Through episode reviews or reviews of entire series I'll tell you just what I think about the anime's of days past and of the new era! The goal of this whole thing is to get some recognition for as many anime's as we can be them small or large. A secondary goal is to maybe rekindle the fire for anyone who may be having doubts about anime in general hopefully we can bring you back aboard ...
