Death Note

Death Note is about Light Yagami and his quest to rid the world of all bad people in the most brutal way possible. Normally induced by heart attack the user of a death note can choose the way his target dies no matter what if you would rather have your victim die of something other than a heart attack.

Death Note is a particularly famous anime if you haven't heard of it it's probably because of the ending of death note. Similar to that of Code Geass where a great deal of the show was fantastic only to have it ruined by an ending that either didn't make sense or, was ridiculous. To me Death Note was great aside from its' ending if it wasn't for that it would have easily passed for ten out of ten purely for the way their story was portrayed to the viewer.

This animes' strength is actually in its' general story-telling giving the person watching a better idea of what is going on than anyone who is in the anime was new and creative at the time giving you a chance to see how each character solves the mystery or dies trying with a horrible expression on their face. Another strength I would say is just how they wrote Light's sanity in general watching him slowly slip into a darker and darker path really was profound and entertaining to watch. No matter how the situation happened you can always count on the new 'God' to fuck everything up to 'protect' the innocent or himself. That being said some of the other strengths were the actual enforcement of the 'rules' in the anime for instance, in order to kill someone with a death note you have to know their real full name otherwise nothing happens or, you just killed a random person. So,with that in mind I would say being a nobody would probably help you a lot more since your name wouldn't be plastered all over the internet so long as you didn't personally submit it. However, there are ways around these rules that are later disclosed.

With all that the animes' only real weakness is its' very poor ending though, I will not spoil it for anyone who has not seen it I would suggest to prepare yourself for it because, it will probably lower your opinion of Death Note for awhile. That being said the ending was pretty clear cut and I am almost positive considering the age and the actual ending that there will most likely never be another season but, who knows it may pull a Code Geass and we may end up being able to see Light work his god like magic once again.

6.5 Not every review can be a good one and unfortunately this is just gonna be one of the bad ones I'm back for this Friday's review so let's go ahead and jump right into this one. The premise of it is that you're following the story from Aiz's point of view instead of Bell's. Campione!

7/10 This anime is about Kusanagi Godoas a man who has slain the god of victory and acquired his powers. He has become a Campione and must fight other Campione to hope that he may survive this ordeal! Guess I'll start doing Fan-service Friday since this anime is fairly fan-service heavy aswell. Campione has one of the coolest theroies in an anime I've ever seen for it to be a ecchi anime. The idea is that when you kill a god you obtain their powers basically becoming that god; you can also kill other gods and obtain their powers aswell but, be careful you also inherit their weaknesses! This anime has an awful lot of fan-service as do many of the anime's that will be on Fridays' list. Campione has a weird way of mixing together combat and ecchi it's a bit of an awkward mix to be honest but this anime was underrated because of it. Blue Dragon

S1 9/10 S2 6/10 Blue Dragon is another action heavy anime that features Shuu in his quest to save the world from being taken over in both seasons. With S1 and S2 being so different in the ratings I'm here to explain why! We'll start with S1 since it is first. With S1 you are just getting to know Shuu as he takes on the empire that threatens the world. His first encounter with this empire is when they try to take over his village and try to kill him. Fortunately for him he is the holder of one of he legendary shadows known as Blue Dragon. During S1 you see him learn how to control his power over the course of it and even become friend with his inner demon much like Naruto except, having a giant Blue Dragon whoop ass for you somehow strikes me as cooler than becoming a neon light at a bar.
