Hagure Yuusha no Estetica
Ever wonder what happens to the hero after the story is over? Well this anime is here to show you just that! With Akatsuki defeating the 'Satan' of another world he is returned to his world after reaping the benefits of his new found powers along with his reward of taking custody of Satan's daughter.
With Akatsuki returning to his world he is forced into the Babel program which helps people integrate into society with their new found powers like a tournament setting more or less. During this Akatsuki will fight other people with similar powers to his to see who really is the best 'Hero'. With some fan-service here and there this action show should be enough to tide you over while you wait for a new show to come out!
Lets get this straight Akatsuki is the hero I would be if I was a hero lax a fuck and really carefree. He is the protagonist you want in any anime as he is not afraid to take advantage of any situation no matter how weird it may be though, I will admit some of the things he does in the anime are very questionable so, just because I liked it doesn't mean you will. This one I have a lot of mixed feelings about because, I generally liked it the fights were cool and the character himself is really nice in general but, then he takes these weird turns where he does some awkward shit and you're just like "why?" or at least I was. With those scenes in the anime there is no way I can afford to give this a nine or a ten because, it was just too weird. For your own good I will spoil that bit for you but, if you want to take your chance on it feel free to skip to the next paragraph. The weird thing that Akatsuki does in the anime that makes me generally uncomfortable is a pair of scenes where he makes a few girl's piss themselves and I'm sorry but, that is just fucking weird.
Minus that bit this animes' strength is its' action by far because despite Akatasuki's....weird habit he is a total bad ass when it comes to fighting. He always handles the fight so calmly and is the kind of hero I would want to show up to kick some ass really. Most of his fights go smoothly and even when it doesn't necessarily go his way he doesn't seem all that phased about it like he always has the upper hand even when he doesn't. This kind of character is refreshing in anime where there are many weak 'minded' men in them that break easily under pressure or, are just so bad around other people it is unbelievable. A unfortunate weakness is that some of the fan-service is way too over the top and the awkward parts with Akatsuki really hurt your image of him or at least it did for me but, without those he is ultimately a super bad ass.
In conclusion, if you need a good action anime to watch I would recommend this one too you but, not to anyone who has never seen any fan-service in anime as it may drive you away from this anime until a later date and then you probably will forget about it. That being said if you can look past that the fights in this anime are really underrated in general and it probably would have gotten a lot more traction during its' time if it didn't have the weird parts. fortunately we will be getting one more dosage of Akatsuki's badassry as there has been news of the second season in work but, with no release date I will have to keep you posted if you would like.
