Interviews with Monster-girls

8/10
Heading back into the lighter things this anime is about a teacher that wants to learn more about the
"Demi-Chan's" that live in our world. Things like vampires, werewolves, succubus, and other mythical beings are genetic defects in this world.

This is a light-hearted anime made for people who want to relax and chill out with a good laugh here and there. This show mostly follows the teacher Tetsuo who wants to make a journal of various Demi-chans that are from around the world. He is fairly reliable, likable, and is pretty smart as far as anime main characters go. There are some attempts at fan-service and romance but, this show mostly sticks to its' guns with the whole just being a show about interviewing thing. Which I have to admit is a nice change of pace. I like my monster-girls as much as the next guy but, recently it may be too much so, this is a nice new take on it considering the fact that they even tried to get all scientific about it.

The main strengths of this show are its' comedic prowess and its' light-heartedness. With so many shows being fast paced or just flat out ecchi related we get a nice change of pace here with an anime that feels like it is mostly on vacation. The worst thing that happens to the characters really only last about an episode so, the general happiness of this is pretty good. Even the plays at romance are well thought out and well displayed. I like the fact that most of the abilities of the Demi-chans are more viewed as a hindrance than a power they can just use willy nilly to get whatever it is they desire. The main example you will see is the succubus character that will find her abilities a hassle more than anything.

The only real weakness of this show is that the audience is fairly small and it will not resonate with people who like more action driven shows or pretty much any variant that is faster paced. With new flavor comes risk as well though, I like to believe this anime did well enough to earn a second season we will have to see as it only recently ended. Considering the support the anime got however, I would say it is very likely we will end up seeing a round two of Tetsuo and his Demi-chans. Another thing I'd like to point out and if you watch the whole thing is I would like to know what kind of work-out regiment Tetsuo goes through the dude is a fucking monster of a teacher.

Overall, this anime is mostly built for slow pace people or for those who would just like a change of pace away from all the ecchi and action. There are many interesting new turns that they make in this anime that set it up to be one of the better ones to date as far as the Monster-girl genre goes. I would place this one above Kobayashi's Dragon maid simply because I thought that anime was beyond ridiculous but, that is my opinion and no there will be no review of it on my site. If you want an anime for a slower paced person or are looking to maybe get a girl into it this might be your anime as it hits most of the points except for romance.

Thanks for reading as always! Be sure to subscribe, share, and comment to get your fangs out!
