Comet Lucifer

7.3/10
Comet Lucifer follows Sougo Amagi a young lad who is a rare stone collector due to his parents death involving said stone. During one of his adventures to look into finding rare stones he would run across a girl that is named Felia that is more like the spirit of the earth rather than a normal girl.

This is another one of those weird ones where you're scratching your head at the first glance thinking oh how you must be desperate. Do not despair because Comet Lucifer isn't all that bad. It is more of an adventure anime than anything trying to show off its' cool world with lots of traveling in general with the occasional magic and giant robot here and there to add some action in for all you action lovers it's perfect for when you're having a hard time finding an anime to watch if you need something to tide you over for a bit. Though, it is a slower paced anime and only has one season with little hope of a season two.

This animes' profound strength above all else is its' creative world though, it never goes into explaining much of it I think all the creators really wanted out of it was to let some spurring imagination out of their heads and onto a storyboard for people to look at. Though, it is not like Comet Lucifer doesn't have a story in fact, it has a pretty good story to go with its' nice world. Still trying to figure out the whole thing about mechs and magic but, some of the fights remind me of something like Infinite Stratos where it is very fast paced and just has a lot of ass kicking involved. I have to also say that Sougo's character is a refreshing one because he is not simply stunned in fear or even with as little power as he possesses he still tries his damndest to do whatever it takes to get the job done and I really appreciate a character like that. Not saying that this anime doesn't have its' flaws though, there are a few story related loop-holes here and there that are signs of a slightly rushed project like perhaps the story was an after thought but, even with that it will keep you entertained as you have probably noticed I don't have a lot of anime's under a seven because well, who watches a bad anime all the way through with no redeeming features? That being said the only other weakness I really see with this anime is that the side characters don't really seem to have a lot of substance to make you want to care for them in anything they do. Honestly, if you watched the whole thing through you probably only watched it because you wanted to see if Sougo would kiss Felia at some point since they do appear to be quite lovey dovey sometimes.

This anime is a light weight for sure with a very small amount of episodes and nothing really to it I wouldn't say show it to your friend you're trying to get into anime unless they have already seen a few and maybe just need a different character type in their lives. Though, there are plenty of badasses in anime I doubt many of them are quite as relateable as Sougo is since he has problems that translate into a normal persons' life which makes him a very likable character overall. Unlike some of his companions which just seem like cannon fodder more than anything else. Felia is a cool character in general and is probably a better character than Kagari from Re:Write since Felia is an actual likable character and actually has some lines that say something rather than standing there as a mystery that pretty much never gets solved and trust me everyone fucking hates that.

Thanks for reading as always! Remember to subscribe, share, and comment to keep the adventure going!
