Gokukoku no Brynhildr

8.5/10
This anime revolves around Murakami a guy who has been interested in aliens his whole life and it became especially apparent after his friend Kuroneko's death. He feels it was his fault and that he should live her dream of finding aliens for her.

Of all the anime's I have said and will ever say should have had a second season; this should have had a second season. I wish it had a second season. This anime follows Murakami a guy who at a young age was struck with an unfortunate accident that ended up killing his childhood friend. Later in life another accident is about to happen when a girl who looks exactly like his childhood friend displays impressive powers to save his life from then on he tries to help her escape her fate of death. This is another brutal anime but it should be manageable to the average person.

The story goes after the whole being saved thing that Murakami learns about Neko being a witch he decides to help her. Witches are government experiments that have implants in the back of their necks that give them incredible powers some of them are more useful or destructive than others but, they all come at a terrible price. They have to take a special medicine every single day or they will die. This anime does a great job of role designation as some characters are just not made for fighting. Such is the case for Murakami but, he can help in other ways. At the very least he is smart and helps out in the tactics department when the government comes after his witch friends. This was another anime that I personally thought should have been more recognized during the season it came out but, it was dwarfed by the other anime's that came out during its' time frame. Its action is pretty intense as it really didn't seem to care for modesty in how many people ended up dying in this anime and in some of the most fucked up ways too.

If anything I would have to say this anime is pretty sad through and through though it does have times where it allows for happiness. I would suggest this to anyone who wanted a tearjerker or if you had a friend who has had a really hard time finding their way into an anime that could give them a sad feeling then you should probably point them to this one because, I promise this one will do it.

In conclusion, this anime is relatively basic in its' design but, its' execution and story telling surpassed many of the lower-class anime's. It is an okay starter but, only if you don't have a super weak stomach because, there are some pretty gruesome deaths in this one but, it's not like Corpse Party. I hope this makes you watch Gokukoku no Brynhildr!

Thanks for reading as always! Remember to subscribe and share maybe you'll get to hear Neko-chan sing!
