Maburaho

6/10 8/10(fan-service)
Maburaho is an anime that follows Kazuki Shikamori a young magician just trying to get by in life but, the ladies have other plans for him. With his life in the balance of this whole mess how will he plan to survive?

This anime is our final fan-service Friday special! Maburaho is about a magic school except it brings an interesting concept that I'm not sure if I think it is just interesting or really like it; the concept is that you have a number of magic uses that you can perform in your life-time once you use them up you die. Our main character Kazuki is a odd ball for his world in the fact he has an extremely low number of magic uses that he is able to perform until he dies which basically means that his lifespan is shortened unless he simply does not use magic. You would think that wouldn't be hard to get through your thick head but, when you have a schlew of females that you would love to help out...you just can't seem to keep that wand down.

Maburaho has a lot of characters involved my favorite being Rin because I have a thing for the shy or more reserved ones. Unfortunately I have to admit this anime has another one of those weak male leads that I really hate but, even if I don't necessarily like that people watch these things for the girls right? I must say that some of the stuff is overboard and ends up being really typical so other than their magic difference there is no real defining factor that makes them any better than any other fan-service anime. Though, I will admit the harem is probably more fluent in this one and makes much more sense than it normally does in other animes where it is just random where as here they want him for basically what kind of kid might pop out.

A good strength is how well they managed to tie everything together for the most part making it better than the average haremesk anime. With that in mind harem animes or fan-service animes are not for everyone and will not be a good idea to show your buddies so, that means that pretty much all of them will be getting a lower rating on my review board but, I'll try to do the fan-service rating from now on.

All in all Maburaho is decent to watch for killing time and lovable for the fan-service people. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone trying to get into anime right now but, if you are already into it you can most likely deal with it afterall, fan-service is probably about half of anime. Even big animes like One-Piece have some fan-service in them because you have to sell that merchandise right?

Thanks for reading as always and remember to subscribe, share, or comment!
