Kekkaishi

6/10
Kekkaishi revolves around a dynamic duo of exorcist who take their jobs as seriously as you can. Fighting off demons around the school or around the city is about all you can ask for a pair of teenagers.

First off I'd like to apologize for the lack of post ended up with some family issues expect more to come nowadays. With that out of the way lets hop into Kekkaishi which receives a pretty average rating. At first this anime comes across very strong and will probably leave a lasting impression for it but, it just lacks something overall that would make it special. Yoshimori is our main character for the series whom is a fourteen year old kid our other main is a girl named Tokine which you end up finding out our main bro harbors feelings for despite the age difference. Though this anime is supposed to be comedic it is far more actiony and any comedy that did get put in was mostly dry.

Honestly the strength of this anime is probably the action because nothing really stood out. The character development was pretty average; comedy was dry most of the time and, it had fairly average story-telling. Considering the overwhelming amount of average it is hard to give it anything over a six. Kekkaishi does have pretty good action in it as it is fairly interesting overall. With some romance dabbled in there Kekkaishi is a complete package but, an average one. If you're looking for an anime with a lot more spunk or perhaps you're looking for one to show your pal this probably isn't a good one to show them.

With the incredibly average performance there is little hope for a season two of this anime. Afterall, it has been a great number of years since Kekkaishi originally came out and I am almost certain the manga ended some time last year. With all those facts together the hope for season two is almost non existent. Some weaknesses this anime had ended up mostly minor but, the biggest one is probably the drop off of importance of Tokine. Tokine seems to lose her relevance throughout the show be it for the purpose of having the male lead take charge in power or for whatever reason she never really improves from the very start so how you see her is how you get her. There were also some pretty misplaced entrances for various characters in the anime that caused for odd reveals or interruption of a moment.

All in all Kekkaishi is an average anime with an average review. There is not a lot to hate but, there is not a lot to love. I would watch this anime if you had nothing better to watch in between shows or something and only show this to your friend if he is basically afraid of anime since this is pretty soft core for anime standards as nothing crazy really happens. Though there is little to go off of Kekkaishi is not the worst anime you'll ever see by far but, it certainly won't be the best either.
