Magical Bastard Instructor

9/10
Now, it is rare I love something so much that I have to watch it twice this week it's Magical Bastard Instructor and I'll be giving you all of my thoughts on why this anime deserves a season two. The story in this anime is about a lazy magician known as Glenn Radars as he tries every way possible to get out of his new job to live a carefree life.

For those of you who haven't looked into this anime at all I would completely recommend it for a lot of reasons but, I'll try to keep it somewhat manageable. First off, Glenn is a special character he reacts to many cliche happenings in anime completely different than pretty much ever other protagonist the only other character that I can even think of that acted this way is Kanata from Sky Wizards that the main character was practically failed by his writers. Glenn However, was not failed by his writers and is a really interesting character because, he does not react in a typical way and he kind of does his own thing. He is also massively expressive and has a range that makes him feel far more realistic than a majority of characters which is actually something the entire anime does pretty well.

Sistine is the secondary main and she is pretty good in her own right at first she seems fairly typical but, she comes into her own as a character along with her various expressions. What may seem like an annoyed student at first becomes one that you grow to understand later. I think I enjoyed the fact that they made her seem fairly typical only to show you that she wasn't a little later. In my opinion she has one of the more distinct personalities in recent anime's since I didn't have to re-look this anime up to remember her name. There is a lot of good story writing around her and Glenn as well which makes both of the characters much more interesting in the long run though, what will probably sell you is that smiling face. If not maybe her smug one will sell you on her.

The story is also well written and it leaves you wanting more which is what every good story does. Some people just don't get that and make garbage stories or even close out their story far too quickly. There were just enough questions to make you feel like the world was well-thought and just enough answers to make it feel like you were actually getting somewhere if anything the person who made this story cared about it and it's humor and that in itself deserves props. The story is made even better by the simplicity of it and the not-so-cliche reactions that the character's give to each situation.

If there was anything I didn't like it was that the studio hasn't quite been the best at information on a season two of this or not though, I wish there was one If you happen to know then leave a comment if not then I will keep on the lookout and keep everyone updated on it as time goes on should I see anything about it.

After everything is said and done this anime makes me think about giving newer anime's a good chance to show you what they are made of. It is actually a good starter anime considering its rather recent development that you could show to your friends. The pacing is good the story is good and the characters are memorable. Something I wasn't too aware of that just hit me not too long ago is that even the subtitles are pretty slow so for any beginners out there who aren't fast at reading the subtitles you can actually watch this anime without having to rewind it.

That's all for this week in anime reviews I hope you enjoyed it. Do give this anime a chance to warm your feelings towards newer stuff and anime in general and feel free to leave a comment or a like on this weeks review I'll be back next Friday!
